Singer/Frontman - Imagination

Leee John (born John Leslie McGregor on 23 June 1957 in Hackney, London) is a British singer, songwriter, and actor of St Lucian descent, best known as the frontman of the 1980s soul and funk band Imagination. Renowned for his distinctive falsetto and flamboyant stage presence, John played a pivotal role in shaping the Britfunk movement.In 1981 he formed Imagination with Ashley Ingram and Errol Kennedy, achieving international success with hits like "Body Talk," "Just an Illusion," "Flashback," and "Music and Lights." Their debut single "Body Talk" reached No. 4 in the UK Singles Chart in July 1981, and "Just an Illusion" peaked at No. 2 in March 1982. The band's unique blend of soul, funk, and post-disco, combined with their exotic costumes, made them a staple on shows like Top of the Pops.
