Lol Creme
Singer/Musician/Writer/10CC
Lol Creme, born Laurence Neil Creme on September 19, 1947, in Manchester, is an English musician and music video director, best known as a founding member of the art-pop group 10cc. Renowned for his multi-instrumental talent—guitar, bass, keyboards, and vocals—Creme helped shape hits like “I’m Not In Love” and “Rubber Bullets.” After leaving 10cc with Kevin Godley in 1976, the duo Godley & Creme became trailblazers in both musical innovation, notably with their Gizmo guitar device, and in directing groundbreaking music videos for artists such as Duran Duran and The Police. Creme later joined the avant-garde collective Art of Noise, collaborating with icons like Trevor Horn, and continues to influence the industry.
