Kenney Jones
Drummer
Kenney Jones is an English rock drummer celebrated for his powerful yet tasteful playing across several iconic bands. Born in London in 1948, he first found fame with the Small Faces, helping define the mod-soul sound of the mid-1960s. When the group evolved into the Faces, Jones’s gritty, swinging style became a key ingredient alongside Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood. In 1979, following Keith Moon’s death, he joined The Who, contributing to their early-80s albums and tours with a steadier, more disciplined approach. Beyond performing, Jones co-founded Surrey’s Hurtwood Park Polo Club and has remained active in music through charity projects and reunions. His legacy rests on versatility, precision, and an unshakeable sense of groove.
