Jim Leishman MBE
Scottish Football Legend
Jim Leishman MBE is a much-loved Scottish football personality best known for his long association with Dunfermline Athletic. Born in Dunfermline in 1953, he first played for the club as a goalkeeper before becoming its manager in the 1990s. Under his leadership, Dunfermline enjoyed promotion to the Scottish Premier Division in 1996 and memorable European competition appearances. Nicknamed “The Pars’ most famous supporter,” Leishman later served the club as director and chairman, remaining a passionate ambassador for the team and the town. In 2014 he was awarded an MBE for services to football and the community in Dunfermline.
